The Population of Belarus 2023

Belarus is a landlocked country located in Eastern Europe, bordering Russia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and Ukraine. The population of Belarus in 2023 is approximately 9.5 million people, it is one of the most populous countries in Europe. According to the latest United Nations data, the population of Belarus has been steadily growing over the past few decades.

One of the major demographic trends in Belarus is the aging population. The median age in the country is estimated to be around 41 years, and the proportion of older people is increasing. Additionally, the country is facing a low birth rate and a declining population, which are concerns for the government.

Despite these challenges, the population of Belarus remains relatively urbanized, with over 80% of the population living in cities and towns. The largest cities in the country, such as Minsk, Grodno, and Brest, are home to a large proportion of the population and are major centers of industry and commerce.

To address the declining population and aging population, the government has implemented various policies to encourage families to have more children and improve the overall quality of life for its citizens. In addition, the government has been investing in the development of its cities, in an effort to attract more people to live and work there.

Overall, the population of Belarus continues to be a key factor in the country’s economic and social development, and the government is taking steps to ensure that its citizens have access to the resources and support they need to thrive.
